  • Buoy

    California-based Buoy offers an app-based foodware reuse model with thoughtfully sourced material and a strong 90% return rate. The company serves festivals, film productions, municipal restaurants and schools — including working with local Native American communities through one of its college programs.

  • Kadeya - Winner

    Kadeya offers a patented beverage kiosk that washes, sanitizes, inspects, and refills bottles onsite, helping eliminate single-use plastic waste primarily at industrial worksites, hydrating essential workers with lowered logistical needs, costs, and safety risks.

  • Revino

    With rapid growth in just over a year of operation, Revino provides refillable glass bottles to wineries, enabling them to participate in a closed-loop system with collaboratively designed, eco-friendly bottles while maintaining their brand identity.

2024: Consumer Packaged Goods

  • Cabinet Health - Winner

    Cabinet Health is on a mission to eliminate single-use plastic in a technically challenging arena: medical waste, and specifically drug packaging. The company created a refillable system for high-quality over-the-counter medicines and supplements, offers customized and reusable prescription bottles, and supports larger organizations in their transition away from plastic-packaged medicines.

  • Good Filling

    Good Filling’s BYO and zero-waste vending machines offer a high convenience factor in a scalable solution. With a diverse and growing array of products including home and personal care, beverages, shelf-stable cooking products and more, the company is seeking to make waste reduction accessible and affordable to all.

  • Green Gooding

    Green Gooding is a Brooklyn-based circular rental system for gently used cooking and cleaning appliances. Their service helps consumers reuse while saving money and storage space. Green Gooding owns, maintains, and repairs its equipment, helping end the one-way-throw-away cycle that has become the unfortunate norm, even for large home appliances.

2024: Fashion & Apparel

  • Coblrshop - Winner

    Coblrshop’s goal is to make shoe and bag repair easy and accessible, so that repair becomes mainstream once again. They offer a simple solution on the one hand — send in your item, they’ll repair it — while also providing a technology platform to help connect brands with cobblers to continue normalizing repair over buying new.

  • Pact Retail

    Pact Retail’s mission is simple and effective: they keep hangers and related accessories used for retail clothing in circulation and out of landfills. With an integrated tracking solution and high return rates, they offer a replicable and scalable solution to reduce waste in the fashion sector.

  • Rax

    Rax is an app-based, peer-to-peer wardrobe rental system – a digital clothing swap where users can lend to and borrow from fellow community members - that seeks to reduce the environmental impact of the fashion industry, encourage sustainable consumption, and inspire a shift from ownership to access.

2023: Food & Beverage

  • Re:Dish - Winner

    Re:Dish is building the warewashing infrastructure—and the software to manage it—that makes reuse possible at scale. This backend solution supports both the turnkey, enterprise-calibrated reusables program and washing third-party reusable wares.

  • Boomerang Water

    Boomerang's closed-loop, semi-automated, high-throughput process bottles 350-400 returnable aluminum and glass bottles per hour, displacing 1 million single-use bottles annually.

  • DeliverZero

    DeliverZero is a full-service reusable packaging solution that eliminates single-use packaging waste. As a neutral network of returnable, reusable takeout containers DeliverZero can integrate with any online ordering platform or point of sale system.

2023: Consumer Packaged Goods

  • Generation Conscious - Winner

    Generation Conscious built a zero waste, zero water infrastructure to end hygiene insecurity while diverting tons of waste. Their plastic-free refill stations distribute accessible, non-toxic, hypoallergenic, biodegradable laundry detergent sheets.

  • Returnity

    Returnity designs, manufactures, and implements reusable shipping & delivery packaging solutions for brands and retailers. They launched The Last Box, a cost and labor efficient alternative to cardboard that enables clients to move products between factories, stores and warehouses.

  • Revolusation

    Revolusation is helping build the foundations of the new circular economy by re-engineering single-use products and packaging into reusable versions, and creating the systems needed for circulation.

2023: Fashion & Apparel

  • Bleckmann - Winner

    The Renewal Workshop by Bleckmann identified a need in the market for apparel and textile brands to extend the life of their post-consumer products once considered waste. They created The Renewal System to restore products to standardized conditions so they could be resold.

  • alternew

    Alternew is the first online platform that is changing the way we care for our wardrobe. Customers connect with a specialist that meets their tailoring, altering, and repair needs and preferences.

  • Treet

    Treet helps fashion brands reduce their footprint and increase customer loyalty through resale. Their platform allows brands of any size to launch a resale experience where their customers can buy and sell their pre-loved items, ensuring each item lives its longest life.

2022: Food & Beverage

  • r.Cup - Winner

    r.Cup (now r.World) was the first national reuse company in North America and one of the first movers on reusable cups in the country, securing big partnerships and investors from event companies and musicians with the likes of U2, the Rolling Stones, Dave Matthews Band, and Jack Johnson.

  • Dispatch Goods

    Dispatch Goods is a women-owned reusable takeout service provider that makes it easy for your food to be delivered in reusable packaging. They partner with enterprise food delivery services like Imperfect Foods as well as with restaurants – collecting, washing, and resupplying foodware.

  • Just Salad

    Just Salad has the longest-running reusable packaging program in the restaurant industry, offering reusable bowls for their salads since the company was founded in 2006. They’ve demonstrated how reuse can be integrated into a growth business and are continuously innovating around this model.

  • Algramo - Winner

    Algramo has enabled global brands - like Unilever, Nestle, Walmart, and Colgate - to create smart reusable systems which focus on selling just the product and eliminating the need for single-use packaging.

  • GOATOTE

    GOATOTE is a reusable bag system that allows you to check out shopping bags and return them when you are finished to convenient stand-alone kiosks. Their systems took off in select Walmart, Target and CVS Health stores during the Beyond the Bag Pilots in the summer of 2021.

  • Returnity

    Returnity designs, manufactures and implements reusable packaging and circular logistics systems, replacing single-use packaging in shipping.

2022: Fashion & Apparel

  • Thrilling - Winner

    Thrilling is a BIPOC-owned company with a mission to rewrite the secondhand shopping narrative, putting marginalized voices at the forefront. They helped digitize local, independent thrift stores across the US and are providing additional sources of revenue for vintage store owners while also providing a second lease on life for clothing.

  • FABSCRAP

    Fabscrap engages local volunteers and is tackling the fashion waste challenge in New York City. A one-stop textile reuse and recycling resource, they are working to end commercial textile “waste” and maximize the value of unused fabric.

  • Poshmark

    Poshmark is a leading social marketplace for new and secondhand styles for women, men, kids, pets, home, and more. Beyond cultivating a community of secondhand sellers, the platform creates significant economic opportunity for both casual sellers and career resellers.

2022: Enabling Technology

  • The Rounds - Winner

    The Rounds is revolutionizing the "15-minute delivery" concept with a "psychic home manager" that manages the inventory of everyday essentials in your home, learns what customers need, refills personalized amounts based on your household’s usage, and delivers those products (weekly – by electric bicycle) in reusable containers with zero packaging waste.

  • Fill it Forward

    Fill it Forward creates custom reusables that connect to an app which allows users to track their environmental impact and trigger charitable donations with each scan. Their unique tag model enables customers to even tag their own reusables - like a cup or tote bag - to encourage reuse of what you already have.

  • Topanga.io

    Topanga.io supports the transition to a circular consumption model by providing the tools needed for brands and universities to switch from single-use to reusable packaging.

  • Rheaply - Winner

    Rheaply’s Asset Exchange Manager ™ combines an asset management system with an online marketplace that enables organizations to manage and transact physical assets more effectively. The platform measures and eliminates the need to procure new products, curbing waste in the process.

  • Algramo

    Algramo offers global brands platform technology coupled with smart packaging that connects with their app and internet connected dispensers – allowing consumers to buy the product and not the packaging.

  • TURN

    TURN's data-driven digital capture and reuse system is engineered to eliminate single-use plastic by implementing an effective reusable cup reuse and return system and capturing all product waste streams.
